Discover Our Club's Inspiring Journey
Our club started with a simple goal: to bring young players together, share a love for the game, promote and encourage teamwork. Over the years, we’ve celebrated remarkable milestones, from our first match to securing local league championships. Each step we’ve taken has built not just junior teams, but a community. We invite you to join us on this journey, witness and be a part of our growth, and cheer on our players as they continue to strive for success both on and off the field.

Our Club Ethos
The core, overriding principle of Sheppey Swifts Football Club is ‘football for all’.
This all-encompassing philosophy exists to ensure the children whose football development has been entrusted to the club benefit from an environment that is both safe and compassionate.
Sheppey Swifts FC values the role of sport and its contribution to overall human development by providing good quality footballing opportunities in a safe and positive environment.
Our club promotes personal, professional, and social well-being through footballing experiences, regardless of an individual’s socio-economic status, age, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
- Child Welfare comes first!
- Emphasis on development both sporting and socially
- Competition is encouraged without the "win at all costs" mentality
- Our players are given a fair chance to compete
- Inclusive of all levels and abilities
- Instill respect and positive behaviour into all of our juniors

We typically run teams across multiple age brackets, from early beginners (6-8) through older youth squads (up to 18). Each age group trains separately with coaches who specialise in that stage of development.
Our focus is on player development, confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game. We prioritise learning and improvement over results, ensuring every child gets meaningful playing time and support.
Yes. All coaches hold FA coaching qualifications, are enhanced DBS checked, and complete Safeguarding Children and Emergency First Aid training. Many also have additional youth‑development experience.
We follow strict FA safeguarding standards, maintain up‑to‑date risk assessments, and ensure all staff are DBS‑checked. Welfare officers are available for players and parents whenever support is needed.
Absolutely. Parents can support as volunteers, match‑day helpers, fundraisers, or even pursue coaching qualifications. The club thrives on community involvement.
Parents can contact us through our website or social channels to register interest. We’ll arrange to come along to a training session so your child can meet the coaches and try out the club before joining.
